The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti and Chairman of Ekiti State Council of traditional rulers, HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUTADE 1, on behalf of all monarchs in Ekiti State, has called on youths in the state to calm down and end their protests which turned violent in some communities.
Oba Alabi in a statement made available to EKITI STANDARD in Ado-Ekiti by his Media Adviser, Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, stressed that Ekiti state could not afford to lose virile youths who are leaders of tomorrow. He noted that it was worrisome that peaceful protest started by youths in the state suddenly turned violent adding that Ekiti needed peace to enable positive development.
“Peace is paramount to all of us in Ekiti and as leaders, we traditional rulers are appealing to the youths to remain peaceful and calm while allowing government to address their demands, Oba Alabi concluded.
