Again, crisis is brewing in the Nasarawa state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the recent congresses that was held between November 7 and 12, 2020 in the state.

The Hon. Sidi Mohammed Bako campaign organisation expressed its dissatisfaction over what they described as purported party congress.

A statement jointly signed by Senator Philip Gyunka, Director General Sidi Mohammed Bako campaign organisation and Hon. Muhammed Baba Ibaku, secretary, and made available to Blueprint Friday, in Lafia.

“We all feel the pains and disappointment of our members because the rescheduled congresses was ordered by court to address the grievances that led to earlier litigations because of similar infringements of our membership rights at the earlier congress that was held in March 2020,” the statement said.

They called on their supporters and the entire Nasarawa PDP family to remain calm and steady, and not engage in any hasty political decisions detrimental to the growth and stability of the party.

“We assure you all that no efforts will be spared to get the National body of our party or any level for that matter to carry out its responsibility according to our party constitution and guidelines.

“We assure all and sundry that our party will go through this phase successfully and will stabilize its structure and activities, and prepare it for the 2023 elections,” the statement said.
