Over fouty eight thousand indigenes of Nasarawa state have so far benefited from the National social investment programme safety NETS Coordinating office NASSCO.

The state Coordinator, state Operations unit,SOCU Adamu Hussaini disclosed this at the Comment of the second phase of a three day training On community Based Targeting process at the government house lafia.

The National social safety NETS project is providing access to targeted transfers to poor and Vulnerable households under an expanded National Social safety NETS system.

It is also among other things to strengthen and Consolidate the building blocks of the safety NETS system both at National and the state levels.

Speaking at the event, the state Coordinator,state Operations unit, Adamu Hussaini said the programme Commences in twenty seventeen in Nasarawa state across seven local government areas of the state with Over two hundred thousand households identified so far in the state.

The state Coordinator explained that Continuation of the programme in the remaining Six local government areas will be trained.

Declaring the Programme Open, governor Abdullahi sule said training of the participants is to enable government to enroll the poor and Vulnerable households into the National Social safety NETS register that will be used to facilitate the Conditional Cash transfer of the federal government.

The state governor therefore Charged the Participants to pay particular attention to the training to internalize what they learnt from the training.

The participants were carefully selected from Six local government areas of the state and will be trained on Community Based Targeting process and enumerators.
