Justice Maurice Eneji who has been in the position as Acting Chief Judge of Cross River State since the tenure of Justice Michael Edem elapsed, has found love again.
Eneji remarried barely two years after the death of his first wife – in order to keep body and soul together – as they said – it is not good for a man to be alone.
The 63-year-old wedded Miss Muobo Ijomone on Saturday, September 19, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Jesus Sanctuary, Atekong Drive, Calabar Municipality local government area of Cross River State.
In his congratulatory message, the state Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade, lauded Eneji “for being decisive to fill the gap created by his wife who died not too long ago”.
Ayade, who was represented by his Deputy, Prof. Ivara Esu, recalled that Justice Eneji lost his wife almost two years ago, and praised him for the “bold and difficult step taken to remarry to enable him to remain faithful to God and shun the temptations that are connected with staying unmarried”.
The Governor commended Eneji’s courage – and on behalf of the Government – promised to continue to support him in any way necessary in his marital life.
The marriage was also attended by Rt. Hon. Eteng Jonah Williams, Speaker, Cross River State House of Assembly and other dignitaries.
Recall that Eneji’s tenure as Acting Chief Judge of Cross River State elapsed on September 2, 2020, after acting for another three months following his reappointment on June 2, 2020.
