Senate to pass 2021 budget December 3rd – ORDER PAPER

OrderPaperToday – The Senate on Thursday said it will pass the 2021 budget by December 3rd.

This announcement was made by the Chairman, Senate committee on Appropriation, Barau Jibrin, at a press briefing with chairmen of various senate standing committees in attendance.

According to him, there will be a joint public hearing conducted by both senate and the House of Representatives on the 9th and 10 November, 2020.

The various committees are expected to harmonize the reports budget defence exercise from 11th to 18th of November, 2020.

The committee on appropriation will thereafter compile all the reports from the committees between 19th November and December 2nd, Jibrin concluded.

The senate passed the appropriation bill for second hearing earlier today after a three-day debate which included criticisms from some senators.
